Our client was seriously injured while attending a house party. Our client was severely injured when a guest at the party threw a spray paint can into a large open fire the homeowner had permitted to be lit on his property. The spray paint can exploded sending a fireball of flames and molten paint at our client.
Our basis for liability, in this case, was that the homeowner was present while an alcohol and drug-fueled party raged on in their backyard. They permitted a large open fire to be burning right in the middle of the party where they knew alcohol was being consumed. Numerous city ordinances and local laws were violated that evening by the homeowner.
